The Mauka Experience is rich in textures orchestrated in natural mediums, rocks, driftwood, inlayed shells and sea glass. The shapes and colors of the Mauka Spa suites are harmonious with the environment and the cultural heritage. The furniture and fixings are simple, comfortable and beautiful. Customized treatments have been created from indigenous ingredients that grow in the West Maui Mountains of Kapalua.
The Makai Experience is cool, tranquil and soothing with incredible views of the ocean and the sky. The outdoor spa hale (wooden huts) bring the ocean environment into the interiors. An array of ocean symbols and patterns are woven into various elements of the design of the entire makai experience. These cozy tropical huts serve as the source of creative inspiration for all our spa guests.
Both spas are united by the Peaceful Waters. These hydrotherapy circuits share the energy of the waters from Mauka to Makai in different forms - from sea salt water in the infinity ocean view pool, to the refreshing cool rain falls, to the sea salt eucalyptus steam room and the cascading waterfall hot tubs.
